Some very cool stuff. Things for all people. History of Canada, trains, planes and more. They have discounts for students too! Only thing is that it is clear they could use some more funding as there are bits that dont quite make sense on their own and have clearly come from somewhere else. But over all loved it spent close to an hour exploring everything.
The museum has permanent displays of railway history with some hands on experiences and videos on the ground floor, and recently made over the upper floor reminiscent of old Main Street. It has smaller versions of store fronts with original articles in them, and write ups about each one, including the theatre, where a couple of folks can sit and watch a video of a parade. It's very well done, and you get a real sense of the history and people that built North Bay.
Love learning about history! Grandkids had a great time with all the interactive exhibits.
My family and I loved it!!!....the history, the model trains and the sounds made it fun for everyone.
This is a well designed museum. I just wish there was more of it.
